
Within the framework of the visit to Strasbourg, the First Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Giorgi Chakvetadze, and the First Deputy Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Vakhtang Turnava, held meetings with members of the European Parliament.
During the meetings, the parties discussed ongoing developments in Georgia, as well as regional and international issues and challenges. Members of the Georgian Parliament provided their European colleagues with information about recent developments in the country and the government’s future plans.
MEPs expressed their support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. They also assessed the policy of the EU toward Georgia and current international developments.
The meetings were also attended by the Deputy Permanent Representative of Georgia to the European Union, Giorgi Mikeladze.
