The Speaker of the Parliament of Israel (Knesset), Amir Ohana started the official visit to Georgia

The Speaker of the Parliament of Israel (Knesset), Amir Ohana serves the official visit to Georgia.


He was met and greeted at Tbilisi International Airport by the Chair of the Education and Science Committee, the Head of the Georgia-Israel Friendship Group, Givi Mikanadze.


On September 4, the Speaker of the Knesset is holding meetings with the representatives of the legislative and executive authorities. In the Parliament, Mr. Ohara will be hosted by the Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili.


After the meeting, the two counterparts will make a joint statement. Mr. Ohara is also meeting with Prime Minister Garibashvili, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and the Chair of the Supreme Court, Nino Kadagidze.


On September 5, Georgian MPs are welcoming A. Ohara and his accompanying delegation at the plenary session.


Within the framework of the visit, A. Ohara will lay a wreath on the Memorial to the Heroes fallen for the Territorial Integrity of Georgia, visit the David Baazov Museum of History of the Jews of Georgia and Georgian-Jewish Relations and attend the ceremony dedicated to the Georgian saint, Sergo Metreveli and his family members.
