As part of their visit to the United States, members of the Georgian parliamentary delegation — Mariam Lashkhi, Lika Shartava, and Eka Sepashvili — held a meeting with Congressman Andy Ogles.

During the meeting, the parties discussed Georgia’s strategic partnerships with the United States, the European Union, and China. They also addressed Georgia’s foreign policy and the reset of Georgian–American relations.

One of the key topics of discussion was the development prospects of the Middle Corridor.

Cybersecurity-related issues were also discussed. It was noted that cooperation in the field of security, including cybersecurity, is considered one of the important directions of the strategic partnership. Particular attention was also given to the issue of supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting was attended by Tamar Taliashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States.

The Georgian parliamentary delegation is led by Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee. The delegation also includes Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee Mariam Lashkhi, Member of the EU Integration Committee Lika Shartava, and Deputy Chair of the political group “People’s Power”, Eka Sepashvili.
