Meeting of the Opposition Women MPs with the Ambassadors concerning compliance with the EU Recommendations

The Opposition women MPs held a meeting with the Ambassadors concerning compliance with the EU Recommendations and introduced their positions to the Ambassadors of Greece, Hungary, France, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and Finland.


According to the member of the Faction “United National Movement – Unified Opposition “Unity Makes Strength” Khatia Dekanoidze, the parties touched upon the imprisonment of Nika Gvaramia, the role of the Gender Equality Council in the Parliament and the Venice Commission recommendation concerning the reform of the High Council of Justice and significant impact of the corporate behavior in the Court.


“Our key topics at the meeting were our European way and the fulfillment of 12 vital recommendations regarding which the “Georgian Dream” does not even intend to express its political will. We informed the Ambassadors that despite our different political platforms, the EU candidacy is equally of utmost importance for us and Georgia and the Georgian citizens have proved it”, - she declared.


The meeting was attended by MPs Teona Akubardia, Khatuna Samnidze, Ana Natsvlishvili, Salome Samadashvili, Tamar Kordzaia, Ana Buchukuri and Ketevan Turazashvili.
