The Procedural Issues and Rules endorsed the re-regulation of the set-up of the Parliamentary Political Group

The Committee discussed with the I reading the Draft Amendment to the Rules of Procedures re-regulating the set-up of the Parliamentary Political Group.


As per the amendment, prior to the recognition of the Parliamentary credentials elected in 2024, elected MPs submitted by one political party, if elected MPs submitted by the same party have set up the Faction, are entitled to set up the political group if they have quit from the respective political party.


According to one of the initiators of the Draft, Guram Macharashvili, the amendment allows all the subjects of the political spectrum of the Parliament to enjoy all the advantages under the Rules of Procedure to the maximum extent to provide society with correct information.


The Draft is initiated by the Majority Non-Faction MPs Guram Macharashvili, Sozar Subari, Dimitri Khundadze, Mikheil Kavelashvili, Eka Sepashvili, Victor Japaridze, Irakli (Dachi) Beraia, Zaal Mikeladze and David Kacharava.
