Meeting of Shalva Papuashvili with the OSCE Secretary General

H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, held a meeting with the OSCE Secretary General, Feridun Sinirlioğlu.

Shalva Papuashvili emphasised that Georgia is a fully engaged member state of the OSCE and expressed a favourable view of the collaborative efforts undertaken with the organisation.

According to Feridun Sinirlioğlu, the OSCE places paramount importance on the stability and security in Georgia.

The parties involved in the review of the political processes in Georgia, the parliamentary activity and the upcoming Municipal Elections in autumn. The discourse encompassed the prospects of regional cooperation. The pivotal role of the peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan was highlighted in the context of securing peace and prosperity within the South Caucasus region.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Georgia to Austria, the Resident Representative of Georgia to OSCE and International Organizations located in Vienna, Alexander Maisuradze; and the Head of the Parliamentary Delegation to OSCE PA, Nikoloz Samkharadze.
