
The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili met with the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (EUROJUST) President, Ladislav Hamran and deliberated on the Georgia-EUROJUST cooperation in curbing crime.
The Speaker dwelt on compliance of Georgia with the EU recommendations, attaching particular emphasis to judicial reform and countering organized crime.
The sides expressed their commitment to developing dynamic cooperation between Georgia and EUROJUST.
As Mr. Hamran noted, EUROJUST supports Georgia in the process of the fulfillment of the EU recommendations. He thanked Georgia for highly contributing to the enhancement of security in Europe and countering transnational organized crime.
The meeting has been held within the framework of the visit of the Speaker and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Parliamentary Delegation, headed by the Speaker is composed of MPs Maka Botchorishvili, Giorgi Amilakhvari, Khatia Tsilosani, Rima Beradze, Elguja Gotsiridze and Khatuna Samnidze.
