The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, met with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, Claude Wiseler.

Shalva Papuashvili expressed his gratitude to Claude Wiseler for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

It was noted that deepening dialogue between Georgia and Luxembourg is important.

The importance of strengthening parliamentary ties was emphasized, including through the exchange of visits.

Shalva Papuashvili spoke about parliamentary activities, as well as the challenges in Georgia–EU relations.

The parties reviewed the regional wars in Ukraine and Iran and their impact on the region and EU countries.

The meeting took place in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, within the framework of the 152nd IPU Assembly.

The delegation, led by the Speaker, includes: Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze and Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee Maia Bitadze.
