Shalva Papuashvili Met with the President of the Parliament of Montenegro

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, met with the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić.

Shalva Papuashvili thanked his counterpart for the invitation to participate in the Summit of Speakers of Parliament of the member and partner states of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM).

During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral relations between Georgia and Montenegro. It was noted that parliamentary ties are developing successfully and that parliamentary exchanges are actively taking place.

Shalva Papuashvili congratulated Montenegro on the progress achieved on its path towards accession to the European Union, including the commencement of work on the accession agreement.

Andrija Mandić spoke about this process and expressed Montenegro’s readiness to share its experience with Georgia.

The discussion also addressed cooperation between the PAM and PABSEC, the presidency of which is currently held by Georgia.
