The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Ali Kaan Orbay.

The parties discussed the well-established neighborly relations between Georgia and Turkey and fruitful bilateral and multilateral strategic partnership, including positive dynamics of interparliamentary cooperation and active connections between friendship groups and committees.

The parties also expanded on the importance of the trilateral cooperation format of Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan.

Shalva Papuashvili dwelt on Georgia's integration into the North Atlantic Alliance and the European Union.

The Ambassador confirmed the strong support of the Republic of Turkey for Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and NATO integration.

The Speaker wished the Ambassador success in his work.
