Shalva Papuashvili Met with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, met with the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tran Thanh Man. 

Shalva Papuashvili congratulated Tran Thanh Man on his re-election as Chairman of the National Assembly.

The parties expressed their readiness to work on identifying opportunities for cooperation across various fields.

It was noted that the establishment of parliamentary friendship groups would be important for deepening inter-parliamentary relations.

The sides also discussed cooperation within the framework of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), as well as the strengthening of trade and economic ties between the two countries.

The meeting took place in Istanbul, Turkey, within the framework of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). The delegation, led by the Speaker, includes the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, and the Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Maia Bitadze.
