
As part of his visit to Brussels, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of Georgia's Parliament, presented the EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos, with an Order of Honor on behalf of Georgia's President for his support of visa liberalization and personal contribution to Georgia's EU integration process.
March 28 marks 5 years since the entry into force of the visa-free regime for Georgian citizens in the EU, Schengen area.
"I would like to thank the EU Commissioner for his support to Georgia in visa liberalization and for his personal contribution to Georgia's EU integration process. The support of European partners was of great importance for Georgian citizens in making a positive decision on visa-free travel to the EU. Your merit in this process is especially noteworthy, which Georgia warmly appreciates”, - the Speaker noted.
The parliamentary delegation headed by Shalva Papuashvili includes MPs: Levan Ioseliani, Maka Botchorishvili, and Levan Karumidze.
