Tamar Charkviani, a member of the Parliament of Georgia, held a meeting with Kerry McIntosh, the Political Officer of the Political and Economic Department of the  United States Embassy.

During the meeting, they discussed the current situation in the country and the recommendations that have been outlined for Georgia regarding reforms following the grant of EU membership candidate status.

"I shared my vision with the embassy representative regarding the implementation of the European Commission's recommendations and our participation in the working groups. We placed particular emphasis on the reform of the judicial system, as outlined in the recommendations, and discussed the issue of de-escalation. In general, we addressed issues that are crucial for both the implementation of the recommendations and Georgia's timely integration into the Western community", - Tamar Charkviani commented after the meeting.
