
Tamar Taliashvili, First Deputy Chairperson of the Education and Science Committee, participated in the Batumi International Conference - "Early Childhood Education and Care", where representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, the scientific community, and the education sector discussed issues of quality early education in Georgia.
Tamar Taliashvili expanded on the education reform and pre-school education policy administration and introduced the vision from the perspective of the legislature, focusing on state standards of education, including state standards for school readiness, pre-school education reform, and future plans.
According to the MP, it is important to share local and international experience in this field.
"It is important to share local and international practices on quality, accessibility, and inclusion in early childhood education and care. Conference sessions provide platforms for active discussion and include presentations by local and international experts on issues such as the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on early childhood education, innovative and alternative approaches to early education, role-play in early education, and professional competencies, etc”, - Tamar Taliashvili remarked.
