The Defense and Security Committee heard the candidate, nominated for the Chief of the Security Service, Mamuka Mdinaradze.

As per the Committee’s decision and in line with paragraph 12 of Article 38 of the Rules of Procedure, the hearing was held in camera.

The Committee approved the candidacy of M. Mdinaradze and wished him the best of luck in his upcoming career.

“We are confident that Mamuka Mdinaradze, given his personal attributes and professional experience, will demonstrate his suitability for the position of Chief of the Security Service. “We are sure that national security matters will be under the reliable domain”, - Alexander Tabatadze, Chair of the Committee, underscored.
