Tedo Japaridze participating in the International Conference against Anti-Semitism in Berlin

The Chair of Foreign Relations Committee visits Berlin to participate in the conference along with MPs and Chairs of Foreign Committees, Foreign and Justice Ministries, international organizations and experts from various countries.

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel addressed the audience, speaking about urgent migration against the crisis background and importance of such meetings. Mr. Japaridze held informal conversation with the President of Bundestag, Norbert Lammert.

As he stated, Mr. Lammert noted that Georgia is the evident leader in EaP and once more confirmed that the Speaker of Georgian Parliament and the Parliamentary Delegation are expected in Berlin.

Tedo Japaridze also conversed with the Director General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova and the Foreign Minister of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The Minister emphasized achievements of Georgia on visa liberalization issues and congratulated Georgia and especially his former counterpart, incumbent Prime Minister, Giorgi Kvirikashvili with this success.

The Conference was held in the Bundestag on March 14 and Foreign Ministry of Germany on March 15.
