The Briefing by Beka Natsvlishvili

The Independent MP, Beka Natsvlishvili considers that the Georgian Government has made the decision prejudicing the interests of 86 employees of the Company “Frontera” despite the criticism of the American Senators and Congressmen regarding the electoral system.

According to the MP, the Government has had the suit ready allowing designation of the representative of the Gas and Oil Company to the Company “Frontera” in capacity of the temporary manager. Thus, the oil sales proceeds would allow coverage of the accumulated wage liabilities to the employees but the Government has “abandoned” these people and has created a better environment for the electoral system.

“Unfortunately, it is the colonial attitude of the Government that cannot lead us to the progress. I appeal to the Government to ensure maintenance of the positions of the employees of the Company who have been dismissed due to the strikes. And besides, they have not received their salaries for 14 months and are left without the living sources. Hence, the Government shall compensate for their damage and provide them with elementary financial means”, - B. Natsvlishvili noted.

He also directs the question to the Regional Minister, Maia Tskitishvili regarding the hereof issue to be answered today at the Ministerial Hour.
