
G. Popkhadze spoke about activity of the Committee, main function of the Parliament and legislative process, as well as legislative initiatives under consideration.
Students asked about human rights stated in Georgia. MP emphasized fundamental rights recognized and protected under the Constitution.
He answered the questions about legislative activity, Rules of Procedure and Election Code. “Youth are frequent visitors to the Parliament and we shall allow them realize the work by the Committees. In order the people to be the citizens and have citizenship responsibility, they shall know about the political and legislative processes. Young generation is interested in Parliamentary activity and it is god. Civil education only in class-rooms is not enough, it requires study of state institutions, defining state policy in the country”, - he stated.
In the end, he wished youth success and expressed commitment for cooperation.
