The meeting of Ilia Nakashidze and Sofo Kiladze with the Management of the Adjara Public Broadcaster

The Vice-Speaker, Ilia Nakashidze and the Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Sofo Kiladze held the meeting with the Management of the Adjara Public Broadcaster to discuss the developments in Adjara PB.

According to I. Nakashidze, the problems in the TV shall be solved according to the Charter. “Today, we believe in the Charter and it is the Charter that shall serve as the guideline for the collective in a peaceful manner, thus serving as a model of the collective behavior encountering professional problems. The Parliament of Georgia strives to build the democracy of high standards the part of which is media, and we also would like media to be of high standard”.

According to S. Kiladze, Adjara TV shall demonstrate the peaceful environment and all the parties shall have the opportunity of free activity. “This week, we have held the meetings with the part of the Adjara TV journalists. Today, we met with another party to have a full and objective picture as the part of the journalists express their claims against them. We were informed about the request of the audit and we would also like to get cognizant with the audit conclusion. We want the Adjara TV to have a peaceful environment and all the parties to have the chance of free activity for realization of their rights guaranteed under the law”.
