The Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Sesiashvili held the introductory meeting with the EU Representation Attaché for Human Rights, Justice and Domestic Affairs in Georgia, Yvonne Gogoll.

I. Sesiashvili introduced the main directions of the new Rules of Procedure that increase the oversight activity of the Parliament. He overviewed the legislative activity of the Committee and underlined importance of coordinated cooperation with the Defense Ministry.

As noted, EU-funded projects envisage introduction of the European standards and sharing of the experience of the leading countries for oversight activity.

Y. Gogoll expressed the initiative for active communication with the Committee.
