The Chair of the Committee, Ivane Kiguradze met with the Deputy-Minister of Education and Science of Lithuanua, Genoveita Krasauskiene. The parties spoke about scientific-educational systems in both countries.

“Ms. Deputy-Minister informed us about educational institutions”, - I. Kiguradze stated. According to him, there functions the Lithuanian Language and Culture Center in Technical University of Georgia and Georgian Language and Culture Center in Vilnius University.

On November 17-19, the Lithuanian Language and Culture Center in Technical University of Georgia holds the conference “Lithuania and Georgia from 520-year Retrospective”, held under patronage of the Minister of Education and Science of Lithuania, Audronė Pitrėnienė.

The 520 years old Lithuanian manuscripts reveal Georgia as the country for the first time. “Such conference is importance for further approximation of our countries”, - I. Kiguradze stated.
