According to the Consul, there are similarities between Georgia and Guatemala – both are strategic partners of USA and despite the ancient history, both are young democracies. He spoke about economic cooperation. “The duty of diplomats is to connect people in business and trade spheres as well”. He noted that Guatemala is interested in Georgian wine and nut import. “We spoke about interesting aspects for our cooperation”, - P. Sakvarelidze stated. Georgia is interested in sugar and coffee import. As G. Agulashvili stated, deriving from geographic state of Georgia, plans are to convert Georgia into political and economic link between West and East. Georgia is ready to share experience with Guatemala.
