Levan Berdzenishvili spoke about the Parliamentary activity, its role and structure, as well as importance of internship in the Parliament. “It is a great opportunity to get familiar with the Parliamentary activity and I hope that one day you will substitute the older generation”.
He attached particular attention to the functions and obligations of the Committee, such are monitoring of implementation of Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, timely implementation of the Governmental activity in regards with EU, including the National Program of Legislative Harmonization etc.
He also spoke about legislative processes and introduced the recent laws on visa liberalization. He emphasized the Anti-Discriminative and Public Service Laws.
Leven Berdzenishvili attached particular attention to visa liberalization. He spoke about Schengen visa free regime, pre-conditions, expected pros and cons and terms. Levan Berdzenishvili also answered the questions mainly on labor rights, ethnic minority protection, EU integration state policy etc.
Internship in the Parliament envisages the meetings with the Committee Chairs and MPs, attendance on Committee sittings in view to increase openness and transparency. The meeting was attended by the Head of HR Department, Diana Asatiani.
