The meeting of the Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream”, Giorgi Volski and the Chair of Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Teimuraz Chkuaseli with Marneuli Folk Ensemble “Enguri”
The Ensemble gained grand prix at International Arts Festival “Folk Festival in Catalonia” held in Spain in February, 2016.
The meeting was attended by MPs, Marneuli Governor and NGO “Women Support”. The parties spoke about inter-national relations and friendship between the nations.
As Teimuraz Chkuaseli noted, the fact is particularly important that most of the Ensemble members are Azerbaijani. There are Armenian and Georgian children as well. “Culture and Art is the best way for integration of the nations and I am glad that our Azerbaijani youth revealed the best results of cultural integration with Georgian folk dance”.
Giorgi Volksi congratulated Ensemble with victory and thanked Municipality of Marneuli, NGO “Women Support” for support of the tour of the Ensemble to Spain and thanked the Head of the Royal House of Georgia, David Bagration-Mukhranbatoni for implementation of the project. “I congratulate our famous youth with grand prix at the festival. It is particularly noteworthy that most of Ensemble members are Azerbaijani who along with Georgian children effectively demonstrated Georgian folk dances with emotions and thus, gaining applause from the jury”.
After the meeting, the children had the short tour in the Parliament.
