
Mrs. Chapidze spoke about Parliamentary activity and the MP Bureau. She attached her attention to challenges of education system and the reforms initiated by the Government.
Eliso Chapidze introduced the reforms initiated by Education Ministry and supported by the Committee, spoke about pre-school education state standard development. Interns asked about perspectives of dual education in Georgia. As responded, the authorities have already made respective steps in this direction. “The Ministry has recognized dual Diploma. Exchange programs are of utmost importance as the students of vocational institutions have been equalized to University students. They enjoy the same preferences”. Though, the state shall finance the students motivated to study professions too.
The interns and fellows asked about Tkibuli Coal Mines employees and their labor rights and salaries, as well as perspectives of the city, established with the initiative of Niko Nikoladze in view of coal extraction.
According to Eliso Chapidze, as being the Single Mandate of Tkibuli, the Mining Professional Institution has been established in the city, 80% of alumni of which are now employed in mines. The number of accidents has been significantly decreased due to qualified personnel.
As she noted, Tbilisi Technical University is involved in the discussion about establishment of mining faculty in Tkibuli for mining engineers. It will reduce youth outflow from the region.
