Parliamentary Political Channel will be formed to make the activity of the parliament transparent. Public will be able to get political information without any interpretation - this was the main issue of today’s working meeting of the members of parliament Magdalina Anikashvili and Chiora Taktakishvili with Levan Kubaneishvili, the Director- General of the Public Broadcast and Levan Gakhelidze, Chair of the Trustee Board, where they discussed issues connected with the development of the conception of the Second Channel of GPB.
According to the statement of Magdalina Anikashvili, this project improves political culture. Our society would get complete information which political subject works more affectively to defend public interest. According to her announcement this Parliamentary Channel would clarify legislative activities, committee hearings, activities of parliamentary commissions and factions. Some hours would be given to the non- parliamentary opposition as well.
At the same time the existance of the Governmental Hours is also necessary to clarify the activity of the Executive Power. Our Society will be able to watch the activity of the Legislative and Executive Power in the regime of –No Comment. According to the statement of Levan Gakhelidze, Chair of the Trustee Board, after solving some technical problem, formation of the Second Channel begins and this project is going to work. As he stated the final product would be presented before our population soon.
Parliamentarian Chiora Taktakishvili stated that public discussion about this project will begin from January, E-mail would be created [email protected] www.civilin.org/forum, where all sentences about the formation of this Parliamentary Channel would be set.
After studing public opinion by the initiative of parliament the formation of this parliamentary channel will be possible. Experiences and suitable models of different countries already exist, but according to the statement of Chiora Taktakishvili to share the public opinion during the formation of the Channel would be necessary.
