The Majority MPs refused to get registered at the plenary session on April 19 again, resulting in the failure to put the Draft Resolution on the Set-up of the Fact-Finding Commission on the Corruptive and other Illicit Actions in the Judiciary to voting due to the lack of the quorum.

As the Majority Leader, Irakli Kobakhidze commented to the media, the Majority MPs re-demonstrated their solidarity to the judicial independence and the Georgian judges.

“It was yet another solidarity act and we keep doing our best to prevent the National Movement from setting up the Fact-Finding Commission on the judiciary issues. It is principally unacceptable for us; the Court will remain independent; it is one of our paramount achievements since 2012 and we are aspired to prevent anyone from putting a shade thereon”, - he stressed.

The Draft Resolution was submitted by the Opposition MPs in order of the initiative.
