The First Deputy Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee, Alexander Motserelia held the meeting with the Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, H.E. Ihor Dolhov.

As the Georgian MP noted post hoc the meeting, the conversation focused on the future cooperation between the Parliaments of Georgia and Ukraine, with particular emphasis on deepening relations between the two regions and development of various fields of agriculture.

"We paid special attention to the issues of cooperation at the regional level. During my tenure as the State Trustee to Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, special ties were established between our region and Kherson Oblast of Ukraine, we also planned a number of joint activities, but the pandemic prevented us. At today's meeting, we focused on post-pandemic relations between the two countries, as well as cooperation with the countries of the Black Sea Basin, with which friendly relations are established by both Georgia and Ukraine. This cooperation will contribute to the future economic development and success of our regions. We agreed to intensify cooperation at the legislative level of the two countries, especially in the field of agriculture”, - A. Motserelia remarked.
