The First Deputy Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee and the Head of the Working Group on Tea-Growing Problems, Alexander Motserelia along with the First Deputy Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Beka Liluashvili held the meeting with the representatives of the environmental protection and agricultural sphere.

The Group aims to develop the mechanisms facilitating the restoration and development of tea-growing in Georgia.

The meeting today aimed at the effective and economic analysis of the field.

“The meeting outlined the necessity of more information for the development of the action plan and certain decision-making. We agreed on the next meeting with participation of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee. We also intend to engage the business representatives and local tea manufacturers in the Group. It will allow us to better analyze the situation and develop a realistic action plan. Currently, we work on a certain plan aiming at the improvement of the situation in tea-growing and converting this sphere into one of the expert-potential fields”, - A. Motserelia stated.
