Aleksandre Rakhviashvili Calling on Opposition Colleagues Back Up his Initiative on Establishment of Fact-Finding Commission

Aleksandre Rakviashvili, a member of the parliamentary political group "Girchi", calls on the opposition MPs to support his initiative regarding the creation of a fact-finding commission in the parliament, which will study the actions of the president of the National Bank.

"Hopefully, there will be genuine oppositionists on the other side who wish to hold the National Bank and "Georgian Dream" accountable for the majority of our compatriots' poverty because the banks made record profits”, - Aleksandre Rakviashvili stated at the briefing today.

According to him, the subsidization of commercial banks by the National Bank led to the depreciation of the GEL and the increase in prices.

"A significant portion of the parliamentary opposition supports the creation of the fact-finding commission. As of right now, I have 39 signatures, which is more than enough to get this proposal on the agenda of the Parliament. Finally, there are three MPs who are opposed to this move on the side of the opposition who are not present in the Parliament for a respectable reason. Hopefully, there will be genuine oppositionists on the other side who wish to hold the National Bank and "Georgian Dream" accountable for the majority of our compatriots' poverty because the banks made record profits", - Aleksandre Rakviashvili stated and called on his colleagues to support this initiative.
