Archil Gorduladze met with the PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs
Archil Gorduladze, Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee, met with the PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs and informed them about the legal initiatives adopted by the Parliament.

According to him, the laws adopted by the Parliament are in full compliance with the Constitution of Georgia and the human rights standards.
As he elucidated, the legal regulations on the assembly and manifestations, as well as the amendments to the Administrative Offenses Code, are more lenient than in the EU states.

“The legislation of European countries and our national legislation are fully compliant with the human rights standards, regarding which the Strasbourg Court has made numerous orders”, - he noted.

He introduced the positions of the ruling party to the PACE Monitoring Committee members.

“We are committed to ensuring that our position and the voice of the Georgian people are heard by all who may have any questions regarding the decisions made or the legislation adopted. We take full responsibility to ensure that our obligations will be fulfilled”, - he stated
