Archil Talakvadze delivered the Certificates to the participants of the “Georgia and the EU” Project

The EU Integration Committee, in collaboration with the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee and the Parliamentary Training Center continues the educational project “Georgia and the EU”.

At the final ceremony, the Vice-Speaker, Archil Talakvadze met with up to 40 children from 30 schools and delivered the memorable gifts and certificates.

“Your opinion, your perspective and your participation are prominent and valuable to us. We are highly impressed with your estimation of the progress that Georgia manifests on the EU integration path and your positive attitude to the European future of Georgia. It is a merit contributed by you and your pedagogues that you demonstrate perfect knowledge of the European values, the meaning of the European state and the significance of the EU membership for our country. Your participation in the EU integration of Georgia is crucial since you are the generation that shall shake hands with Europe and the European peers. It requires to have a strong, territorially integral and modern country that we build today together”, - A. Talakvadze noted.

Within the project that lasted 4 days, MPs and the staffers met with the children and introduced a brief story and the directions of the Georgia-EU cooperation, the reforms for the EU integration process, the EU membership perspective and the significance of the EU candidate status.

MPs overviewed the cooperation with the EU in the educational sphere and the opportunities and advantages in this regard, including the Erasmus+ program.

The children had an opportunity to get cognizant of the legislative activity and the role of the Parliament in the EU integration process. They attended the Committee and plenary sessions.

The project is to be accomplished in May with the number of its participants to be up to 100 graduate children.
