Meeting of Archil Talakvadze with the Minister of Agriculture of Hungary

The Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Archil Talakvadze, held a meeting with István Nagy, the Minister of Agriculture of Hungary, who was on an official visit to Georgia.
The discussions revolved around the current bilateral relations between the two countries, with a focus on sectoral cooperation and prospects for enhancing future collaboration.
"First of all, this is a sign that the European Union is deepening cooperation with Georgia - this is sectoral cooperation, but at the same time, it is very important that these visits show the political support that Georgia has”, - Archil Talakvadze commented after the meeting.
As he noted, our country's cooperation with the European Union, at this stage of European integration, is even more active today.
"Undoubtedly, this support should ultimately translate into the decision to grant candidate status to Georgia. Obtaining candidate status for membership in the European Union is of paramount importance for Georgia, as it will propel our relations and cooperation with the European Union into a qualitatively new phase”, - the Vise-Speaker stated.
MPs David Songhulashvili, Gela Samkharauli, and Levan Mgaloblishvili were also present at the meeting.
