Baia Kvitsiani Visiting Copenhagen School for Students with Special Education Needs

Baia Kvitsiani, Deputy Chair of the Education and Science Committee, embarked on a visit to a school catering to students with special educational needs in Copenhagen.
During her visit, Baia Kvitsiani familiarized herself with the school's educational processes and assessed its infrastructure. She also engaged in a working meeting with the school administration, where she obtained insights into teacher training protocols and the tailored approaches employed in the educational sphere.
Additionally, the school's leadership shared valuable information related to the social integration of individuals with special educational needs and their preparedness for independent living.
Baia Kvitsiani highlighted that inclusive education holds a prime position for the committee. She underscored that all six ongoing thematic inquiries currently encompass aspects of inclusion. She emphasized the significance of the insights gained during her visit to Denmark, particularly in the context of ongoing research into general education. The objective of this research is to assess how students' social and emotional well-being impacts their academic performance and to evaluate the efficacy of existing support mechanisms.
