On November 23 Nino Burjanadze, the Acting President of Georgia, met Ricahrd Miles, USA Ambassador to Georgia.

After the meeting Richard Miles made a comment to journalists and noted that at the meeting the situation unfolding in Georgia was discussed. He, as the USA Ambassador to Georgia, promised Nino Burjanadze support on behalf of the USA government, including in holding the premature Presidential elections. The Ambassador declared that the US government will still continue the assistance programs in our country in different spheres and that these programs will be enlarged in future.
