Meeting of Davit Songhulashvili with the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of Milli Majlis

Davit Songhulashvili, the Chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, together with the members of the parliamentary delegation, met with the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov, and the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of Milli Majlis, Tahir Mirkishili.
"During the meetings, we discussed the current bilateral relations between Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the prospects for deepening cooperation between our legislative bodies. We emphasized the importance of the middle corridor, especially in light of increased cargo transportation, and expressed our readiness to support the effective functioning of this corridor. It's worth noting that with our strategic location, we have the opportunity to connect vital economic regions and offer interested parties access to global markets”, - Davit Songhulashvili stated.
Tahir Mirkishili spoke about the strong friendship and future projects between the two countries.
"During the meeting, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan and Georgia are friendly, brotherly countries, and the relations between our nations are constantly evolving. Discussions revolved around the significance of jointly implementing economic projects and strengthening cooperation for economic development between Azerbaijan and Georgia”, - Tahir Mirkishili commented.
The delegation includes Gela Samkharauli, Bezhan Tsakadze, Irakli Zarkua, and Giorgi Khakhubia. Zurab Pataradze, Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan, also attended the meetings.
