The Chair of the Political Group “Lelo – Partnership for Georgia”, David Usupashvili held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia, H.E. Ashot Smbatyan.

The parties discussed the Georgia-Armenia bilateral relations and touched upon the security challenges in the region.

The Ambassador informed the Georgian MP about the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“The resumed armed conflicts will never solve the problems. Georgia has always respected territorial integrity and at that, calls on the countries to defend the principles of the inviolability of the borders and sovereignty. I wish both our neighboring countries to solve the problems amicably”, - D. Usupashvili stated.
