The Gender Equality Council of the Parliament and NDI organized the working meeting with the Gender Equality Councils of Batumi, Kobuleti and Khelvachauri City Assemblies, moderated by the member of GEC, Dimitri Tskitishvili.

He spoke about the GEC activity and the action plan for 2018-2020. He overviewed the political participation of women, economic empowerment of women, sexual harassment, gender budgeting, pay gap etc.

He introduced the future plans of the Council and emphasized the bills under consideration in the Parliament.

The parties discussed the possible additional mechanisms to intensify local authorities.

MP got cognizant with the challenges and needs of the Gender Equality Councils of the municipalities.
