Deliberation of 9 Recommendations set out by the EU in the Parliament

A working meeting in the Parliament is dedicated to the deliberation of 9 recommendations of the EU. The discussion includes the issues, such as depolarization, parliamentary oversight, electoral process, judicial reform, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Special Investigation Service, and Personal Data Protection Service.


“The Parliament has started the deliberation of the steps in association with 9 recommendations back in December. As for today’s meeting, we adhere to the action plan approved by the Governmental EU Integration Commission; the action plan has also been communicated with the European Commission”, - the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili commented to the media.


As he underlined, the attendees will delve into all the issues deriving from the EU recommendations and that are appurtenant to the competence of the Parliament.


“I hope the meeting will be productive similar to as concerning 12 steps; today, all the attendees have the opportunity to express their positions and opinions”, - the Speaker added.


The meeting is attended by the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, the Parliamentary Majority Leader, Irakli Kobakhidze, Majority and Opposition MPs and NGOs.
