Chair of the Agriculture Committee, Gela Samkharauli, attended the Fish and Seafood Festival held in Batumi.

The festival was organized by the Forage Organic Aquaculture Association, with the support of the Ajara AR Government, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Ajara, Batumi City Hall, the Khelvachauri Culture Center, and the Batumi Boulevard.

The festival aims to promote the aquaculture sector in the region and support local production.

The event featured a diverse programme, including culinary and gastronomic activities, informational presentations on the nutritional value of fish, and masterclasses in both sport and recreational fishing.

Participants included farming enterprises, individual vendors engaged in the sale of fish and seafood products, restaurants, vocational education colleges, and other organizations.

The event was attended by Members of the Parliament of Georgia, representatives of Ajara AR, and local self-government officials.
