Giorgi Chakvetadze, the First Deputy Chairman of the Education and Science Committee, along with Rostom Chkheidze, a Committee member, paid a visit to the N2 public school in the village of Kabali, Lagodekhi. This visit was conducted as part of monitoring the implementation of recommendations issued within the framework of a thematic inquiry.

During their visit, the Committee members familiarized themselves with the teaching methods employed in both the Azerbaijani and Georgian sectors of the school. They also had the opportunity to learn about the challenges faced by students and teachers in the realm of general education, as well as the issues related to the instruction of the state language.

The thematic research, which serves as the basis for the Committee's monitoring of recommendations, was carried out in 2022 and focused on assessing access to quality education for ethnic minorities.

The meeting was facilitated with the support of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and received financial backing from UK Aid.
