Giorgi Chakvetadze attended the presentation of the European Youth Card

Giorgi Chakvetadze, the First Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, attended the presentation of the European Youth Card, held by the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze.

As mentioned, the EYC initiative, spearheaded by Tbilisi City Hall, is expected to resonate particularly well with students aged 18 to 30.

The program suggests discounts exceeding 25,000 in 40 countries and unifies 9.3 million students; it aims to improve accessibility for the students to the accommodations, education, sports, culture, and entertainment services. The discounts cover travel and transportation services (flixbus, flixtrein, Iberia airways, Airalo), cafes and fast food facilities, music festivals, and book shops and other stores, hotels and parks.

The presentation was attended by MPs Zurab Rurua, Geno Petriashvili and Vladimir Bozhadze, as well as the representatives of Tbilisi City Hall and the executive authorities.
