The Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Giorgi Kakhiani, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel, H.E. Walid Abu Haya.

The parties discussed the existing partnership between Georgia and Israel, as well as prospects for further development of cooperation across various fields. Particular attention was paid to strengthening collaboration in education, science, healthcare, and culture.

The sides also reviewed the issue of deepening parliamentary cooperation. Emphasis was placed on the importance of intensifying bilateral visits, which would contribute to strengthening relations between the two legislative bodies.

Giorgi Kakhiani expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for Israel’s support for Georgia at the international fora, including on matters concerning the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-recognition policy.

For his part, the Ambassador reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
