Givi Mikanadze: the Parliamentary Elections of October 21, 2020, have been held in full compliance with the legislation

“The Fact-Finding Commission has concluded that the Parliamentary Elections of October 21, 2020, have been held in full compliance with the legislation and the minor gaps revealed had not an impact on the final returns of the Elections”, - the Chair of the Fact-Finding Commission on the Parliamentary Elections of October 21, 2020, Givi Mikanadze stated at the briefing today.

He informed the society about the activity of the Commission noting that for 2,5 months, the Commission held 16 working meetings, questioned 38 persons and inquired information from 22 various agencies.

“The Commission has resolved that the Parliamentary Elections have been held in a competitive environment, in full adherence to the fundamental freedoms and legislation. At that, some gaps have been revealed during the E-Day without a single impact on the final returns. Hence, the final protocol of the Central Election Commission expresses the free will of the electors”.

The Fact-Finding Commission, composed of Givi Mikanadze, Aluda Gudushauri, Pridon Injia and David Zilpimiani, has issued the respective recommendations and developed the draft Resolution.
