Irakli Kobakhidze: the statement made by Salome Zurabishvili is in full compliance with the pathos reflected in the statement made by the Patriarch

Chairman of Parliament 20 Sep 2018
Irakli Kobakhidze: the statement made by Salome Zurabishvili is in full compliance with the pathos reflected in the statement made by the Patriarch

“The statement made by Salome Zurabishvili is in full compliance with the pathos reflected in the statement made by the Patriarch”, - the Speaker estimated the statement by S. Zurabishvili on implementation of concordat.

The ruling party will attach particular attention to the statements of the Patriarchate unlike its opponents.

“There were certain statements that S. Zurabishvili attached her attention and we can see that her statement is in full compliance with the pathos reflected in the yesterday’s statement of the Patriarch. Once again, we value the position of the Church on all the issues. We attach particular attention to the statements and the position we hear from the Patriarchate. Hence, it is our common aspiration and one of the aspects we have unlike our opponents which run for the Presidential elections. We are the political force listening to the society, to the Church and it is that tells us apart from our opponents. I can clearly state it and our opponents are the political forces confronting with the Church for years and abusing the religious feelings. It is their style. Our style is drastically different. The particular attention was attached to the certain statements which fail to reflect the position and attitude of the Church to the elections. The attitude of the Church to the elections was due reflected in the statement of the Patriarch”.
