The Vice-Speaker, Irma Inashvili met with the Ambassador of Iran, H.E. Seyed Javad Ghavam Shahidi to discuss the domestic and foreign affairs.

“It was my first meeting with the Iranian Ambassador. We discussed Iran-Georgia relations in politics and economy. As noted, economic relations with Iran have been in progress recently. Iran is committed to enlarge investments to Georgia”, - I. Inashvili noted.

The Ambassador asked about the electoral reform.

“We overviewed the possible positive outcomes of the proportional system for democracy in Georgia. We dwelt on importance of the reform for the parties. The guests asked about freedom of media”, - I. Inashvili stated.
