The Healthcare and Social Issues Committee Took Note of the Three-Month Review of the 2026 State Budget Execution

At the sitting of the Healthcare and Social Issues Committee, First Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze presented the three-month report on the execution of Georgia’s 2026 State Budget.

Giorgi Kakauridze introduced the macroeconomic parameters of the main financial document and spoke about the revenues and expenditures of the mixed and state budgets.

According to him, the average economic growth during the reporting period exceeded the planned indicator and reached 9.1%. He noted that despite increased economic growth, inflation in the first quarter of 2026 exceeded projections, due to rising fuel prices and external factors.

As for the external sector and revenues generated from tourism, the First Deputy Minister stated that positive dynamics were observed in these areas, which were also reflected in the financial indicators.

“The projected revenue indicator for the mixed budget for January–March 2026 was set at GEL 6.7685 billion. During the reporting period, GEL 6.9422 billion was mobilized, which amounts to 102.6% of the projected figure”, - Giorgi Kakauridze stated.

He provided detailed information on mixed and state budget revenues, grants, privatization income, and budget expenditures, and answered questions from committee members.

Giorgi Kakauridze also spoke about the budget utilization rates of state institutions and noted that during the reporting period, the IDPs, Labour, Health and Social Affairs Ministry utilized 96% of its budget, including 99% execution of social programs and 98.5% execution of healthcare programs.

The Committee positively assessed the three-month review of the 2026 State Budget execution and took note of the presented information.
