The Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee, Kakha Kakhishvili met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia, H.E. Ashot Smbatyan.

At the introductory meeting, the parties talked about the existing relations and future cooperation between the two countries.

"We talked about the strategic, friendly ties that Georgia and Armenia have. We also dwelt on the important role that can be assigned to Georgia today, referring to the moderation on various important issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan", - Kakha Kakhishvili stated after the meeting.
