Khatia Dekanoidze, Chair of the Parliamentary Faction United National Movement – United Opposition "Strength is in Unity" met with the Ambassador of the United States of America to Georgia, H.E. Kelly Degnan.

According to Khatia Dekanoidze, the meeting focused on the ongoing war in Ukraine and the security challenges in Georgia.

"We dwelt on very important issues, including in the context of Ukraine, the current events in Georgia. The Ambassador was interested in our position. We introduced the Embassy representatives and the Ambassador, how we see the security problems in the country, what are our challenges. We cannot talk about specific details, but the Ambassador was interested in our position and our vision regarding the existing challenges in Georgia. Of course, this challenge is that in our very close partner country, the worst is not only the crisis and the war but also the murder and genocide committed by Putin. The Ambassador expressed her heartache over the grave incident in Mariupol. Our conversation was about the challenges in Georgia and the attitude of the party to these challenges”, - Khatia Dekanoidze stated.

The meeting was attended by MP Tina Bokuchava and Secretary-General of the United National Movement Petre Tsiskarishvili.
