Khatia Tsilosani, a member of the Permanent Parliamentary Gender Equality Council, held a meeting with the representatives of the European Union Public Services Twinning (TWINNING) project - "Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight of Public Finances".

The meeting was about the activities of the Gender Equality Council and the main directions that are a priority for the Gender Equality Council.

"The delegation showed interest in learning from the experience of the Gender Equality Council of the Parliament of Georgia. They paid particular attention to the activities of gender equality councils at the local and regional levels, including capacity building, trainings, and engagement with civil society in decision-making processes and legislative work related to gender equality in Georgia. The discussion also focused on the implementation of recommendations stemming from thematic research, with a specific emphasis on gender budgeting and mainstreaming", - Khatia Tsilosani stated after the meeting.

The parties agreed that they will constantly share their experiences on the current situation in the country in terms of gender equality, gender quotas, and gender budgeting.
